Set up your phone for picture messaging - Alcatel One Touch 2010

A picture message is a message which can contain pictures and other media files and can be sent to other mobile phones and email addresses. You can send and receive picture messages as soon as you've inserted your SIM. If this isn't the case, you can set up your phone for picture messaging manually.

Find "Data account"

Press Menu.

Key in Vodafone MMS and press the Navigation key.

If you're on a pay monthly price plan:
Key in wap.vodafone.co.uk
If you're on a pay as you go or VOXI price plan:
Key in pp.vodafone.co.uk

Select authentication

Highlight the field below "Authorization type" and press Navigation key right to select Normal.

Scroll to Advanced settings and press the Navigation key.

Highlight the field below "Connection type" and press Navigation key right to select HTTP.

Turn on use of proxy

Highlight the field below "Use proxy" and press Navigation key right to select Yes.

Highlight the field below "Proxy address" and key in 212.183.137.012

Press the Navigation key.

Highlight the field below "Proxy port" and key in 8799

Save data connection

Press the Navigation key.

Return to the home screen

Press Disconnect to return to the home screen.

Press Menu.
Scroll to Settings and press the Navigation key.
Scroll to Connectivity and press the Navigation key.
Scroll to Data account and press the Navigation key.

2. Create new data connection

Press Options.
Scroll to Add GPRS account and press the Navigation key.

3. Enter data connection name

Key in Vodafone MMS and press the Navigation key.

4. Enter APN

Highlight the field below "APN".
If you're on a pay monthly price plan:
Key in wap.vodafone.co.uk
If you're on a pay as you go or VOXI price plan:
Key in pp.vodafone.co.uk

5. Enter username

Highlight the field below "Username" and key in wap

6. Enter password

Highlight the field below "Password" and key in wap

7. Select authentication

Highlight the field below "Authorization type" and press Navigation key right to select Normal.

9. Select connection type

11. Enter picture messaging server

Highlight the field below "Proxy address" and key in 212.183.137.012
Press the Navigation key.

12. Enter port

Highlight the field below "Proxy port" and key in 8799

13. Save data connection

Press the Navigation key.
Press Options.
Scroll to Save and press the Navigation key.
Press Disconnect to return to the home screen.

14. Find "Data account"

Press Menu.
Scroll to Settings and press the Navigation key.
Scroll to Connectivity and press the Navigation key.
Scroll to Multimedia message and press the Navigation key.
Scroll to Data account and press the Navigation key.

15. Select data connection

Scroll to Vodafone MMS and press the Navigation key.

16. Return to the home screen

Press Disconnect to return to the home screen.
