I can't turn on my Vodafone 4G Mobile Hotspot Windows 11

Cause 2 of 3: Your router isn't assembled correctly

To turn on your router, it needs to be assembled correctly.

Solution: See how to assemble the router correctly.

Remove back cover

Turn the back of your router towards you. Take hold of the left side of the back cover and remove it.

Insert SIM

Place your SIM as illustrated next to the SIM holder.

Insert SIM

Slide your SIM into the SIM holder.

Insert battery

Place the battery in your router (left side first), matching the battery contacts with the router contacts, and press the battery into place.

Replace back cover

Place the back cover on your router and press it into place.

Turn on your router

Press and hold On/Off until your router is turned on.

Establish a connection to the internet

Do the following on your computer: Click the menu field.

Click arrow right next to the Wi-Fi icon.

Establish a connection to the internet

Click the name of your Wi-Fi hotspot.

You'll find the password and name of the Wi-Fi hotspot on the inside of your router.

Click Connect.

Key in the Wi-Fi password for your Wi-Fi hotspot and click Next.

Start configuration of your router

Open an internet browser on your computer and go to http://vodafonemobile.wifi

Click Agree.

Click the field next to "I accept the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.".

Click Enter password and key in the password for your router.

You'll find your router's default password on the inside of your router.

Click Log in.

Enter your PIN

If your SIM is protected by a PIN, click the field next to "SIM PIN:" and key in your PIN.

Click the field next to "Remember SIM PIN‘’ if you don't want to key in your PIN every time you log on.

Click Apply.

Change name and password for your Wi-Fi hotspot

Follow the instructions on the screen to change the name of your Wi-Fi hotspot or click Next.

Change name and password for your Wi-Fi hotspot

Follow the instructions on the screen to change the password for your router's Wi-Fi hotspot.

Click Done.

Enter new password for the router web interface

Click System.

Click Log in password.

Click the field next to "Current password:" and key in the default password for the web interface.

Click the field next to "New password:" and key in a new password.

Click the field next to "Confirm new password:" and key in the new password again.

Click Apply.

1 Remove back cover

Turn the back of your router towards you. Take hold of the left side of the back cover and remove it.

2 Insert SIM

Place your SIM as illustrated next to the SIM holder.
Please note that your router only supports nano SIMs.
Slide your SIM into the SIM holder.

3 Insert battery

Place the battery in your router (left side first), matching the battery contacts with the router contacts, and press the battery into place.

4 Replace back cover

Place the back cover on your router and press it into place.

5 Turn on your router

Press and hold On/Off until your router is turned on.

6 Establish a connection to the internet

Do the following on your computer: Click the menu field.
Click arrow right next to the Wi-Fi icon.
Click the name of your Wi-Fi hotspot.
You'll find the password and name of the Wi-Fi hotspot on the inside of your router.
Click Connect.
Key in the Wi-Fi password for your Wi-Fi hotspot and click Next.

7 Start configuration of your router

Open an internet browser on your computer and go to http://vodafonemobile.wifi
Click Agree.
Click the field next to "I accept the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.".
Click Enter password and key in the password for your router.
You'll find your router's default password on the inside of your router.
Click Log in.

8 Enter your PIN

If your SIM is protected by a PIN, click the field next to "SIM PIN:" and key in your PIN.
If an incorrect PIN is entered three times in a row, your SIM will be blocked. To unblock your SIM, you'll need to key in your PUK. You can get the PUK by calling customer services on 191 from a Vodafone mobile phone. If you're using a land line, you need to dial 03333 040 191. Please note: If you key in the wrong PUK ten times in a row, your SIM will be blocked permanently. In this case, you need a new SIM from Vodafone.
Click the field next to "Remember SIM PIN‘’ if you don't want to key in your PIN every time you log on.
Click Apply.
Click Next.

9 Change name and password for your Wi-Fi hotspot

Follow the instructions on the screen to change the name of your Wi-Fi hotspot or click Next.
Follow the instructions on the screen to change the password for your router's Wi-Fi hotspot.
For security reasons, it's recommend that you change your router's default password.
Click Done.

10 Enter new password for the router web interface

Click System.
Click Log in password.
Click the field next to "Current password:" and key in the default password for the web interface.
For security reasons, it's recommended that you create a new password instead of using the default password. You'll find the default password on the inside of your router.
Click the field next to "New password:" and key in a new password.
Click the field next to "Confirm new password:" and key in the new password again.
Click Apply.
