You can't connect to the internet if the USB modem application is using a wrong APN.

Solution: Set up your USB modem for internet manually.

Connect your USB modem and your computer

Connect your USB modem to your computer's USB port.

Find "Advanced options"

Click the Windows icon.

Highlight the field below "Profile name" and key in Vodafone Internet

Click the field below "APN" and key in wap.vodafone.co.uk

Highlight the field below "User name" and key in wap

Highlight the field below "Password" and key in wap

Select authentication type

Click the drop down list below "Type of sign-in info".

Click None.

Click Save.

Click the Windows icon.

Click Network & Internet.

Click Mobile.

Click Advanced options.

3 Create new data connection

Click Add an APN.

4 Enter name

Highlight the field below "Profile name" and key in Vodafone Internet

5 Enter APN

Click the field below "APN" and key in wap.vodafone.co.uk

6 Enter username

Highlight the field below "User name" and key in wap

7 Enter password

Highlight the field below "Password" and key in wap

8 Select authentication type

Click the drop down list below "Type of sign-in info".

Click None.

9 Save settings

Click Save.

Click OK.
