No message tone is heard on incoming messages on your Google Pixel 6 Android 12.0

Cause 1 of 1: The message tone has been turned off

For you to hear the message tone when you get a message, the message tone needs to be turned on.

Solution: Turn on the message tone.

Press the message icon.

Turn on message notifications

Press the indicator next to "Incoming messages" to turn on the function.

Press Incoming messages.

Press Sound.

Press My Sounds.

Select message tone

Press the required message tone to hear it.

Once you've found a message tone you like, press SAVE.

Return to the home screen

Slide your finger upwards starting from the bottom of the screen to return to the home screen.

1 Find "Notifications"

Press the message icon.

Press the menu icon.

Press Settings.

Press Notifications.

2 Turn on message notifications

Press the indicator next to "Incoming messages" to turn on the function.

3 Select message tone

Press Incoming messages.

Press Sound.

Press My Sounds.

Press the required message tone to hear it.

Once you've found a message tone you like, press SAVE.

4 Return to the home screen

Slide your finger upwards starting from the bottom of the screen to return to the home screen.
