Set up your phone for picture messaging - Nokia Asha 503

A picture message is a message which can contain pictures and other media files and can be sent to other mobile phones and email addresses. You can send and receive picture messages as soon as you've inserted your SIM. If this isn't the case, you can set up your phone for picture messaging manually.

Find "Internet"

Press Settings.

Enter data connection name

Key in Vodafone MMS

Press Address.
If you're on a pay monthly price plan:
Key in wap.vodafone.co.uk
If you're on a pay as you go or VOXI price plan:
Key in pp.vodafone.co.uk

Enter username

Press Username.

Save data connection

Press Done.

Select proxy server settings

Press the add icon.

Press Access point.

Press the name of the data connection you've just set up.

Create new data connection group

Press the Return key twice.

Press Messaging.

Press Access point.

Enter name of data connection group

Press Name.
Key in MMS

Select proxy server

Press Access point.

Press Address.
Key in http://mms.vodafone.co.uk/servlets/mms

Save data connection group

Press Done.

Activate data connection group

Press the name of the data connection group you've just created.

Return to the home screen

Press and hold the Return key to return to the home screen.

1. Find "Internet"

Press Settings.
Press Mobile data.
Press Internet.

2. Create new data connection

Press the add icon.
Press NAP.

3. Enter data connection name

Press Name.
Key in Vodafone MMS

4. Enter APN

Press Address.
If you're on a pay monthly price plan:
Key in wap.vodafone.co.uk
If you're on a pay as you go or VOXI price plan:
Key in pp.vodafone.co.uk

5. Enter username

Press Username.
Key in wap

6. Enter password

Press Password.
Key in wap

7. Save data connection

Press Done.

8. Select proxy server settings

Press the add icon.
Press Proxy.

9. Enter proxy server name

Press Name.
Key in MMS Proxy

10. Select data connection

Press Access point.
Press the name of the data connection you've just set up.

11. Enter IP address

Press Proxy server.
Key in 212.183.137.012

12. Enter port number

Press Port.
Key in 8.799

13. Save proxy server settings

Press Done.

14. Create new data connection group

Press the Return key twice.
Press Messaging.
Press Access point.
Press the add icon.

15. Enter name of data connection group

Press Name.
Key in MMS

16. Select proxy server

Press Access point.
Press MMS Proxy.

17. Enter picture messaging server

Press Address.
Key in http://mms.vodafone.co.uk/servlets/mms

18. Save data connection group

Press Done.

19. Activate data connection group

Press the name of the data connection group you've just created.

20. Return to the home screen

Press and hold the Return key to return to the home screen.
