Set up your USB modem for internet manually - Vodafone K4203-Z/Windows 8

Usually, you can connect to the internet as soon as your USB modem has been installed on your computer. If this isn't the case, you can set up your USB modem for internet manually. Remember, you need to install your USB modem.

Connect your USB modem and your computer

Connect your USB modem to your computer's USB port.
Click the network icon.

If an incorrect PIN is entered three times in a row, your SIM will be blocked. To unblock your SIM, you'll need to key in your PUK. You can get the PUK by dialling 191 from a Vodafone mobile phone. If you're using a land line, you need to dial 03333 040 191.
Please note:
If the wrong PUK is entered ten times in a row, your SIM will be blocked permanently. In this case, you need a new SIM from Vodafone.

Click the network icon below "Mobile broadband".

If an incorrect PIN is entered three times in a row, your SIM will be blocked. To unblock your SIM, you'll need to key in your PUK. You can get the PUK by dialling 191 from a Vodafone mobile phone. If you're using a land line, you need to dial 03333 040 191.
Please note:

Click the network icon below "Mobile broadband".

Click the drop down list below "Name".

Enter APN

Highlight the field below "Access point name (APN)".
If you're on a pay monthly price plan:
Key in wap.vodafone.co.uk
If you're on a pay as you go or VOXI price plan:
Key in pp.vodafone.co.uk

Enter username

Highlight the field below "Username" and key in wap

Highlight the field next to "Password" and key in wap

Save settings

Click Save.

2. Find "Network"

Click the Windows icon.
Click the settings icon.
Click Network.

3. Create new data connection

Click the network icon below "Mobile broadband".
Click the drop down list below "Name".
Highlight Custom.
Click Edit.

4. Enter APN

Highlight the field below "Access point name (APN)".
If you're on a pay monthly price plan:
Key in wap.vodafone.co.uk
If you're on a pay as you go or VOXI price plan:
Key in pp.vodafone.co.uk

5. Enter username

Highlight the field below "Username" and key in wap

6. Enter password

Highlight the field next to "Password" and key in wap

7. Save settings

Click Save.
