Install USB modem - Vodafone K5160/Windows 10

In order to set up a data connection on your computer and establish a connection to the internet using your USB modem, you need to install your USB modem. Remember, you need a Vodafone SIM.

Insert your SIM

Turn the front of your USB modem towards you.
Slide the cover upwards and remove it.

Insert your SIM

Turn your SIM as illustrated next to the SIM holder.

Slide your SIM into the SIM holder.

Place the cover on your USB modem with ½ cm opening at the bottom and slide the cover downwards.

Connect your USB modem and your computer

Connect your USB modem to your computer's USB port.
Click the network icon.

If an incorrect PIN is entered three times in a row, your SIM will be blocked. To unblock your SIM, you'll need to key in your PUK. You can get the PUK by calling customer services on 191 from a Vodafone mobile phone. If you're using a land line, you need to dial 03333 040 191.
Please note: If you key in the wrong PUK ten times in a row, your SIM will be blocked permanently. In this case, you need a new SIM from Vodafone.

Connect your USB modem and your computer

Click the mobile network icon.

If an incorrect PIN is entered three times in a row, your SIM will be blocked. To unblock your SIM, you'll need to key in your PUK. You can get the PUK by calling customer services on 191 from a Vodafone mobile phone. If you're using a land line, you need to dial 03333 040 191.
Please note: If you key in the wrong PUK ten times in a row, your SIM will be blocked permanently. In this case, you need a new SIM from Vodafone.

Connect your USB modem and your computer

Click Connect.
If required, follow the instructions on the screen to key in your PIN.

Start the installation application for the USB modem

Click the Windows icon.

Start the installation application for the USB modem

Click Vodafone Mobile Broadband and follow the instructions on the screen to finish the installation.
