Use Siri on your Apple iPad (8th Generation) iPadOS 17

You can control many of the tablet functions with your voice. You can dictate messages, search the internet and more. To use voice control, you need to set up your tablet for internet and turn on Siri.

1. Turn on Siri

Press and hold the Home key.

If you've turned on automatic activation, you can activate voice control by saying "Hey Siri".

2. Use Siri

Say, in your own words, what you would like your tablet to do. CAMERA, CALL [contact], SEARCH THE WEB FOR [information].

If an application is open on your tablet, such as a Mail or Messages, you can also use the functions available here, e.g.: REPLY [text].

3. Return to the home screen

Press the Home key to return to the home screen.
