I can't turn on my Vodafone 5G Mobile Hotspot Windows 11

Cause 2 of 3: Your router isn't assembled correctly

To turn on your router, it needs to be assembled correctly.

Solution: See how to assemble the router correctly.

Insert SIM

Insert a sharp-pointed object into the small hole in the SIM holder.

Remove the SIM holder from your router.

Insert SIM

Turn your SIM as illustrated next to the SIM holder and place it in the SIM holder.

Slide the SIM holder into your router.

Remove back cover

Turn the back of your router towards you. Take hold of the bottom right corner of the back cover and remove it.

Insert battery

Place the battery in your router (left side first), matching the battery contacts with the router contacts, and press the battery into place.

Replace back cover

Place the back cover on your router and press it into place.

Turn on your router

Press and hold On/Off until your router is turned on.

Enter the PIN

If you're asked to key in your PIN, do so and press OK.

Select router language

Press the required language.

Turn off router screen

Briefly press On/Off to turn off the router screen.

Establish a connection to the internet

Do the following on your computer: Click the menu field.

Click arrow right next to the Wi-Fi icon.

Click the name of your Wi-Fi hotspot.

You'll find the password and name of the Wi-Fi hotspot on the inside of your router.

Click Connect.

If you're asked to key in the password for your Wi-Fi hotspot do so, and click Next.

Start configuration of your router

Open an internet browser.

Click the address bar and go to http://vodafonemobile.wifi.

Select router web interface language

Click the drop down list.

Click the required language.

Enter password

Click Password.

Key in the password for your router and click Login. You can find the default password inside your router, under the battery.

Accept general terms and conditions

Click ACCEPT.

Enter new password for the router web interface

Click the field next to "Current Password" and key in the password for your router. You can find the default password inside your router, under the battery.

Click the field next to "New Password" and key in a new password.

Click the field next to "Confirm New Password" and key in the new password again.

Click the field next to "PIN" and key in your PIN.

1 Insert SIM

Insert a sharp-pointed object into the small hole in the SIM holder.
Please note that your router only supports nano SIMs.
Remove the SIM holder from your router.
Turn your SIM as illustrated next to the SIM holder and place it in the SIM holder.
Slide the SIM holder into your router.

2 Remove back cover

Turn the back of your router towards you. Take hold of the bottom right corner of the back cover and remove it.

3 Insert battery

Place the battery in your router (left side first), matching the battery contacts with the router contacts, and press the battery into place.

4 Replace back cover

Place the back cover on your router and press it into place.

5 Turn on your router

Press and hold On/Off until your router is turned on.

6 Enter the PIN

If you're asked to key in your PIN, do so and press OK.
If an incorrect PIN is entered three times in a row, your SIM will be blocked. To unblock your SIM, you'll need to key in your PUK. You can get the PUK by calling customer services on 191 from a Vodafone mobile phone. If you're using a land line, you need to dial 03333 040 191. Please note: If you key in the wrong PUK ten times in a row, your SIM will be blocked permanently. In this case, you need a new SIM from Vodafone.

7 Select router language

Press the required language.
Press OK.

8 Turn off router screen

Briefly press On/Off to turn off the router screen.

9 Establish a connection to the internet

Do the following on your computer: Click the menu field.
Click arrow right next to the Wi-Fi icon.
Click the name of your Wi-Fi hotspot.
You'll find the password and name of the Wi-Fi hotspot on the inside of your router.
Click Connect.
If you're asked to key in the password for your Wi-Fi hotspot do so, and click Next.

10 Start configuration of your router

Open an internet browser.
Click the address bar and go to http://vodafonemobile.wifi.

11 Select router web interface language

Click the drop down list.
Click the required language.

12 Enter password

Click Password.
Key in the password for your router and click Login. You can find the default password inside your router, under the battery.

13 Accept general terms and conditions

Click ACCEPT.
Click Apply.

14 Enter new password for the router web interface

Click the field next to "Current Password" and key in the password for your router. You can find the default password inside your router, under the battery.
Click the field next to "New Password" and key in a new password.
Click the field next to "Confirm New Password" and key in the new password again.
Click Apply.

15 Enter the PIN

Click the field next to "PIN" and key in your PIN.
